GIVING:
The Bible teaches us that our baseline standard for giving is the tithe -- contributing 10% of our income to the church. When God stirs us to give beyond our tithe, it's referred to as an offering.
God provides for the ministry of The Avenue Church through your tithes and offerings. We honor your gifts with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of The Avenue Church remains beyond reproach. You've got options when you're deciding how to give at The Avenue Church. Cash, checks, as well as online giving by debit & credit cards and bank account payments, which can be set up as reoccurring giving! (Credit cards are recommended only if you plan to pay off the balance each month!)

GIVING IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD:
- It acknowledges Him as the giver of everything we have.
- It reflects our trust that He will continue to provide for us.
- It allows us to be a part of His work here on Earth.
- It's a way for us to follow through on what He's asked us to do. In the Bible, God tells us to, "Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best." (Proverbs 3:9 MSG)
3 MONTH TITHING CHALLENGE:
The word "tithe" literally means "a tenth." We return to the Lord 10% of what He's given us, because it belongs to Him. In Malachi 3:10-11, God says, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in my house." The 'storehouse' is the Old Testament picture of the New Testament church. So as New Testament believers, we worship the Lord with the tithe; or the ten percent.
But giving away 10% of your income can be a big -- and often frightening -- commitment! That's why we created the Three-Month Tithing Challenge: a money-back guarantee of sorts. Essentially, it's a contract based on the promises of God in Malachi 3:10-11. We commit to you that if you tithe for three months and God doesn't hold true to His promises of blessings, we will refund 100% of your tithe. No questions asked.
